Apple Developer Account

To list your white-label app on the Apple App Store, you must own the Apple Developer account. Apple requires the provider of the app’s content to submit it (App Store Review Guideline 4.2.6), so you create and own the account, then add an AURA admin user so our team can submit the app and push future updates on your behalf.

Enrol as an Organisation, not an Individual — this is required and avoids delays.

Base requirements

  • An Apple Developer account registered as an Organisation.
  • A D-U-N-S number for your organisation (Apple uses it to verify your legal entity).
  • An AURA admin user on the account, so AURA can list the app and push updates.

Set up the account

Apple’s enrolment guide is the definitive reference; the steps below get you started.

1

Sign in with a company Apple ID

Go to the Apple Developer site and sign in with your company Apple ID. If you don’t have one, create it — ideally using a company alias email address.

2

Provide your D-U-N-S number

Apple uses this to verify your company’s legal status. Request one if you don’t already have it.

3

Pay and enable auto-renew

Membership is $99/year. Enable Auto-Renew (Renew membership → check Auto Renew) so your app stays listed when the year is up.

Invite AURA

In your Apple Developer account, open Users & Access, click +, and add:

FieldValue
First nameAURA
Last nameDevelopers
Emaildevelopers@aura.services
  • Tick the Admin role so AURA can list the app and generate the required certificates.
  • Under Developer Resources, enable Access to Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles. If that option isn’t shown, confirm your membership is enrolled as an Organisation.

Enable the App Store Connect API

Required role: Account Holder.

1

Open Integrations

From Users and Access, click Integrations (the App Store Connect API is selected by default).

2

Request access

Click Request Access, agree to the terms, and submit. Requests are reviewed case by case.

3

Notify AURA

Let AURA’s developers know once the request has been submitted.

Keep in mind

  • Apple’s terms & conditions change several times a year and must be accepted by the account owner. AURA updates the app to stay compliant, but acceptance is yours to do.
  • Track the $99/year fee — auto-renew avoids your app being delisted.
  • Keep the account’s email address valid and monitored — Apple sends all notifications there.
